The IDF has accelerated the operational rollout of Kela Atlas AI, an autonomous targeting‑analysis module designed to generate real‑time adversary mapping across multiple fronts, and senior officers say the system has already transformed the tempo and precision of Israeli military operations.

Developed jointly by MAFAT, Unit 8200, the Intelligence Corps Targeting Division, and engineers from the IDF AI Center, Kela Atlas AI fuses satellite imagery, UAV reconnaissance, SIGINT intercepts, and battlefield telemetry into a continuously updated combat map.

According to Brig. Gen. Yossi Sariel, the system has increased the IDF’s target‑production rate by over 400 % since late 2025, reducing the time required to convert raw intelligence into actionable strike packages from several hours to under five minutes.

The module draws on data from Ofek‑16 and Ofek‑13 reconnaissance satellites, Eitan and Heron TP UAVs, and ground‑based sensors deployed along the Lebanese and Gazan borders, allowing it to identify enemy launch sites, command nodes, and mobile squads with unprecedented speed.

Northern Command reports that during the first six months of the 2026 conflict, Kela Atlas AI generated more than 1,800 verified Hezbollah rocket‑launch positions, 320 command‑and‑control hubs, and over 70 tunnel access points, many of which were struck within minutes of detection.

In Gaza, the system proved decisive during the October 2025 escalation, when it identified a cluster of Islamic Jihad rocket‑manufacturing workshops in Khan Yunis in 11 minutes, enabling the Air Force’s 69th Squadron to destroy the facilities before they could be evacuated.

IDF data shows that the average survivability of Hezbollah Radwan Force anti‑tank teams after exposure dropped from 21 minutes to under four minutes once Kela Atlas AI became fully integrated into Northern Command’s strike cycle.

Maj. Gen. Oded Basiuk, head of the Operations Directorate, said the system “has fundamentally changed the rhythm of war,” allowing the IDF to maintain continuous pressure on adversary networks while reducing collateral damage through higher‑fidelity mapping.

Although human officers retain final authorization for every strike, Kela Atlas AI now forms the backbone of Israel’s real‑time targeting architecture, enabling the IDF to process thousands of targets at a pace that would have been impossible for human analysts alone.

Senior officials describe the system as the most significant leap in Israeli battlefield intelligence since the introduction of Fire Weaver and Habsora earlier in the decade.
