In two separate precision strikes carried out less than an hour apart, the Israel Defense Forces eliminated senior Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon on Monday, as cross-border clashes intensify and fears of a broader escalation mount.

The first strike, led by the Northern Command and the Israeli Air Force, targeted and killed Mohammad Ali Hadid, a commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force in the Nabatieh area.

According to the IDF, Hadid had been involved in planning numerous terror attacks against Israel and was recently working to rebuild Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure.

Shortly afterward, Israeli forces struck again in the Aita al-Shaab region, killing another Hezbollah operative who was observed conducting reconnaissance on IDF positions.

The IDF said the terrorists’ actions were a clear violation of agreements between Israel and Lebanon and added that the army “will continue to enforce the security arrangements and act to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”

The strikes come amid a continuing increase in IDF operations across southern Lebanon as Hezbollah persistently breaches security conditions.

Yesterday, Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that Hezbollah is “playing with fire.”

Tensions remain high along the northern border, as the army continues to monitor all activity in southern Lebanon to prevent any threats from materializing.

Israel remains committed to enforcing the ceasefire conditions and ensuring the security and stability of its northern front, while holding Hezbollah accountable for any violations.
