An organization representing hundreds of Israeli soldiers wounded in battle is urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to continue the war in Gaza, arguing that the fighting must continue until Israel achieves a decisive victory over Hamas.

In an open letter published in Hebrew-language media just hours before Netanyahu is expected to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss a proposed peace plan, the Wounded Veterans Forum implored the premier to resist international pressure.

“Mr. Prime Minister, you do not have a mandate to stop the war now. You do not have legitimacy for partial deals, nor for foot-dragging,” the letter read, according to an Arutz Sheva report.

Directly addressing Netanyahu, the veterans pleaded with him to “not stab us in the back,” stressing that they had not been injured in order to enable a “surrender.”

The letter demanded “an absolute military victory and continuation of the fighting” until Hamas is fully dismantled. “Do not stop halfway. Keep fighting until the end,” they wrote.

The veterans emphasized the personal cost of the conflict, saying they “cannot remain silent” in light of the “heavy prices” they and their fallen comrades had paid while defending Israel.

They urged Netanyahu to “support the soldiers and the home front who sacrificed so much,” making clear they are staunchly opposed to proposals that would see the Jewish state “return territory” to Hamas or “hand over gains to the enemy.”

Meanwhile, Trump has said the Arab world is aligned with his 21-point plan to end the war and secure the release of hostages.

Settler leaders, however, have warned that the deal paves the way for a Palestinian state—something they fear Netanyahu’s government may ultimately support.
