Damari was killed in the same incident that also claimed Sgt. First Class Maher Khatar, during fighting with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

The IAF struck six major Iranian military airbases, destroying aircraft, damaging runways and air defense systems, and dealing a significant blow to the regime’s ability to project air power and arm its terrorist proxies.

During the opening wave of Israel’s Operation Roaring Lion, hundreds of fighter jets decimated the Iranian regime’s senior leadership and took out dozens of ballistic missile launchers, facilities, and air defense systems.

The hesitance stems from a combination of severe military degradation, fear of leadership decapitation, and shifting strategic priorities within Yemen.

One IAF pilot described the opening Roaring Lion salvo as ‘more impressive than that of the Six Day War’, which destroyed Egypt’s entire air force while it was still on the ground.

The collapse is quantifiable: Russia’s share of the global arms market plummeted from approximately 21% to just 7.8% by 2024.
