Over two weeks, Israeli forces carried out a counterterrorism sweep in northern Samaria, killing six terrorists, arresting dozens, and confiscating weapons and terror funds.

The terrorist was identified as Mahmoud al-A’qad from Nablus. A knife was found in the terrorist’s car.

The overnight operation was part of ongoing counterterror efforts in the Jenin area and the broader northern Samaria region.

Israeli forces encountered violent disturbances during the demolition operation on the outskirts of Nablus.

The terrorists, all three of whom were killed, had fired on soldiers manning a checkpoint near the Samaritan neighborhood on Mount Gerizim.

No Israeli casualties were reported.

The Palestinian assailant was armed with a bomb.

‘We will continue operating with innovation – and we will come out on top,’ the prime minister said.

Footage shows IDF forces from the elite Yamam counterterrorism unit blocking a taxi, exiting the vehicle and shooting the terrorist.

‘Deeply concerned about the civilian deaths and injuries that have occurred in the West Bank these past 48 hours, including that of minors,’ the ambassador wrote.

‘Today, a holiday turned into a day of sadness and pain,’ Prime Minister Yair Lapid stated in a message of condolence.
