In a coordinated operation by the IDF, Shin Bet, and the Israel Police in Bethlehem, a central Hamas terror infrastructure was dismantled over the past weeks.

The network had been planning to carry out explosive attacks and shootings targeting both Israeli security forces and civilians.

Reserve troops from the Etzion Brigade, together with units from Duvdevan and Lotar, arrested approximately 50 terrorists, who have been transferred to Shin Bet for interrogation.

Over 15 separate operations were conducted deep in the area, including several high-risk daytime raids. During one of these operations, an M16 assault rifle was discovered and seized.

One of the terror cells was found to be in immediate readiness to carry out attacks.

The dismantling of this infrastructure prevented potentially large-scale bombings and shootings, which could have resulted in significant casualties among civilians and soldiers
