Medical teams at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa are fighting to save the life of Dolev, a 26‑year‑old IDF soldier from Karmiel, who was critically wounded during a deadly battle in southern Lebanon.

According to a report broadcast Monday by Channel 14, Dolev remains in the hospital’s intensive care unit, sedated and connected to a ventilator as doctors work around the clock to stabilize his condition.

His family has stayed at his bedside since the moment he arrived and has issued a public appeal asking people across Israel and abroad to pray for the refuah sheleimah of Dolev ben Atara, invoking the traditional Hebrew formula for healing.

The incident occurred a few weeks ago during an IDF operation in Majdal Zoun, a village located roughly six to eight kilometers north of Israel’s border.

The force, operating under the Northern Command, entered a building as part of a clearing and security mission. Unbeknownst to the soldiers, the structure had been rigged with explosives.

A powerful device detonated, causing part of the building to collapse on the troops inside.

The explosion killed the company commander, Maj. (res.) Harel Birenstock Hy”d, and combat medic Master Sgt. (res.) Tamir Vaknin Hy”d, both reservists whose deaths were later confirmed by the IDF Spokesman’s Unit.

Four additional soldiers were seriously wounded, including Dolev.

Rescue teams from the Northern Command and the Israeli Air Force’s helicopter evacuation units were dispatched immediately.

Operating under fire and in hazardous conditions, they extracted the wounded and transported them to hospitals in Israel for emergency treatment.

Upon arrival at Rambam, Dolev underwent a series of lifesaving procedures performed by trauma specialists, neurosurgeons, and critical‑care teams.

Hospital officials describe his condition as serious, stable, but still critical, emphasizing that the coming days will be decisive.

As the soldier continues to fight for his life, his family is urging the public to continue praying for Dolev ben Atara b’toch sha’ar cholei Yisrael, hoping that widespread support and prayer will aid his recovery.
