‘Israel doing more for Gaza civilians than Hamas.’

In a press briefing Sunday morning, IDF Spokesman Effie Defrin strongly criticized Hamas for spreading false claims of famine in Gaza while simultaneously obstructing humanitarian aid efforts.

“Israel initiated the creation of food distribution centers to prevent famine,” he said. “We are securing four aid centers, facilitating convoys, and allowing international airdrops. These humanitarian pauses are designed to give civilians access to essential supplies.”

He went on to condemn Hamas for stealing humanitarian aid.

“While Hamas steals aid meant for civilians and hides it in tunnels, it runs a deceitful campaign claiming there’s famine in Gaza. Let’s be clear: there is no famine, and Israel is operating fully within international law. Unfortunately, both foreign and Israeli media are amplifying this malicious narrative. This falsehood is being used as a weapon to damage Israel’s reputation.”

Defrin stated that Israel is showing more concern for the well-being of Gaza’s civilians than Hamas itself.

“The IDF will continue distributing aid in Gaza to ensure it reaches the right people and doesn’t fall into Hamas’s hands. Hamas is deliberately worsening the situation and sabotaging the delivery of aid. They’re not just fighting us — they’re fighting their own people.”

“Hamas is no longer seen as a legitimate authority by many in Gaza. The IDF has established aid centers that civilians now rely on daily. No country faced with such a brutal terrorist organization has done more to support a civilian population in enemy territory.”
