By Hezy Laing
An IDF soldier with American citizenship was attacked with a Molotov cocktail at his home in Clayton, Missouri.
While the soldier managed to escape unharmed, both his home and car were vandalized along with other vehicles
Also, graffiti was sprayed near his home: “Death to the IDF”
The head of the fight against anti-Semitism in the US said in response, “I am shocked. Anti-Semitic violence has no place in America.”
Writing in X in response to the attack Leo Turrell, head of the Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism, said “Today, the Israeli Embassy informed me of a horrific anti-Semitic attack in St. Louis. An American citizen who served in the IDF returned to his family home – shortly after, he and his family members became targets.”
“I watched shocking graphic footage of vehicles belonging to family and friends – which were set on fire and completely burned. Hateful graffiti was sprayed outside the family home, calling him a murderer and calling for death to the IDF.”
Turrell added, “I immediately contacted the FBI, which operates the local team in St. Louis, and reported this to the office of Attorney General Pam Bondi. I also spoke personally with the family, so they know that the Justice Department’s Anti-Semitism Task Force is working on this around the clock.”
“I am appalled. Antisemitic violence has no place in America – not in St. Louis or anywhere else. We will use all means to bring those responsible to justice. “If you commit anti-Semitic hate crimes – you will be caught. And you will be held accountable.”
