The IDF carried out a series of precise airstrikes in Lebanon over the weekend, eliminating senior Hezbollah terrorists involved in weapons smuggling and efforts to rebuild the group’s military infrastructure.

According to the army, the strikes were guided by Military Intelligence and carried out with the assistance of the Israeli Air Force.

One of the targets was Ali Hussein al-Mousawi, a Hezbollah terrorist responsible for purchasing and smuggling weapons from Syria into Lebanon. He was killed in the Beqaa region of eastern Lebanon.

The IDF said al-Mousawi played a key role in Hezbollah’s military buildup, overseeing massive weapons transfers that helped the terror group restore its operational strength.

In a separate strike in the southern Lebanese town of Naqoura, Israeli forces eliminated Abd Mahmoud al-Sayed, Hezbollah’s local representative in the Al-Bayada area.

Directed by Division 91 and supported by the Air Force, the strike targeted al-Sayed, who served as a liaison between Hezbollah and local residents on both military and financial matters.

He was reportedly involved in attempts to rebuild the organization’s infrastructure in the area.

A third senior terrorist, Muhammad Akram Arabiya, a commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, was killed on Saturday in the Al-Qlaiaah area of southern Lebanon.

According to the IDF, Arabiya worked to restore Hezbollah’s combat capabilities and took part in efforts to reestablish its terror networks in clear violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

The IDF said the operations were based on precise intelligence and aimed at preventing Hezbollah from strengthening its positions along the border.

“The activities of these terrorists constituted a clear violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the army stated. “The IDF will continue to act decisively to remove every threat to the State of Israel.”

Israeli defense officials noted that the strike in the Beqaa Valley took place near the Syria-Lebanon border, an area long used for weapons smuggling into Hezbollah’s hands. The successful operation dealt a major blow to the terror group’s logistical and operational network.
