The Israel Defense Forces carried out a precision strike in southern Lebanon earlier today, killing two Hezbollah terrorists actively working to restore the group’s terror infrastructure.
The operation was led by the IDF’s Northern Command and executed with the support of the Israeli Air Force.
One of the terrorists killed was Hussein Ibrahim Saliman, a member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, in the Al-Bid area. Another terrorist, Hassan Ibrahim Saliman, was also eliminated.
Both were engaged in planning and advancing terror operations targeting Israeli territory.
“The activities of these terrorists posed a direct and serious threat to Israel and its citizens,” an IDF spokesperson said. “The IDF will continue to act decisively to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”
The strike follows several recent IDF operations targeting Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, as the northern front grows increasingly tense.
Over the past few days, Israeli forces have systematically neutralized high-ranking Hezbollah members involved in weapons smuggling, military planning, and rebuilding the group’s combat capabilities.
Israeli officials warned that Hezbollah has been attempting to reconstruct operational networks along the border, including tunnels and armed positions near civilian areas.
The IDF reaffirmed that any attempt to reestablish a terror presence will be met with swift and lethal force.
The IDF will continue taking decisive action to secure Israel’s northern border and eliminate threats posed by Hezbollah’s terror network.
