Tensions along Israel’s northern border continued to rise Monday as the IDF carried out a series of precise strikes across southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, eliminating Hezbollah terrorists and targeting major terror infrastructure.
According to the IDF, intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman) led to an airstrike that killed Hezbollah terrorist Samir Ali Fakiya in the Sarifa area of southern Lebanon. Fakiya was involved in smuggling weapons for the terror group to various regions across the country.
In addition, on Sunday, the IDF Northern Command and the Israel Air Force conducted strikes in the areas of Houmin al-Fouqa and As-Sawana, killing two more Hezbollah terrorists.
The IDF also struck key Hezbollah terror sites in the Beqaa region and southern Lebanon, including a facility used for the production and storage of strategic weapons, along with several additional terrorist infrastructures.
In the Nabatieh area, multiple terror sites were hit, while in southern Lebanon, the Air Force targeted a launch site used for firing rockets toward Israel.
These operations come amid Hezbollah’s ongoing efforts to rebuild its terror assets throughout Lebanon in violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
Since the start of the month, twelve Hezbollah terrorists have been eliminated in IDF operations. The army stated that the presence and activities of Hezbollah in these areas pose a direct threat to Israel and its citizens.
The IDF emphasized that it will continue to act decisively to remove any threat and defend the State of Israel, while remaining fully prepared for any escalation along the northern border.
