Rabbi Boaz Slok, a 55‑year‑old IDF reservist, is recovering at Rambam Hospital in Haifa after surviving a deadly explosive‑drone strike during operations in southern Lebanon.
Slok, who serves in a reserve combat unit despite being well beyond the typical age of active service, was seriously wounded when a hostile drone maneuvered directly toward his position during an engagement near the Lebanese border.
His injuries required extensive medical intervention, including ten blood transfusions, and he remains hospitalized under close supervision.
