IDF forces overnight thwarted a planned terror attack in the Ephraim Brigade sector, arresting multiple terrorists during coordinated counterterrorism operations across several villages in the area.

Elite fighters from the Duvdevan unit led the operation, moving through multiple locations to disrupt active terror networks. In the village of Jiyus, the force apprehended four terrorists who were involved in advancing terrorist activity and preparing an attack.

In parallel, paratroopers from the IDF’s 890th Battalion operated in Kifl Haris and Deir Istiya, where they detained three additional terrorists who had been hurling stones at a major traffic artery, endangering civilian lives.

All suspects were transferred to the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) for further investigation.

The arrests form part of an ongoing campaign to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and deny hostile elements the ability to operate in the area.

These efforts follow the recent conclusion of Operation Five Stones, a two-week offensive in northern Samaria in which IDF forces eliminated six terrorists, detained dozens of operatives, conducted more than 30 airstrikes, and seized significant quantities of weapons and terror funding.

The IDF stressed that security forces will continue to act decisively, at all times and in every arena, to neutralize threats and protect Israeli civilians and security personnel.
