IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said Monday that Israel has dealt a severe blow to the Iranian regime as Operation “Roaring Lion” entered its tenth day, with Israeli forces continuing major operations across Iran and along Israel’s northern front.

Speaking during a briefing, Defrin said the Israeli Air Force continued striking regime targets throughout the day in three areas of Iran simultaneously: Tehran, Isfahan, and southern Iran.

“In the past ten days we have struck the Iranian terror regime and destabilized it,” Defrin said. “Since the beginning of the operation, the IDF has eliminated more than 1,900 soldiers and commanders of the regime and wounded thousands more.”

He added that the campaign is ongoing and that Israeli forces still have numerous targets ahead.

“This is a continuous effort. We are deepening the severe blow to all layers and systems of the regime,” he said.

Among the significant operations reported Monday was a strike against the transport network of Iran’s Quds Force, the overseas arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responsible for coordinating and supplying Iranian-backed militias across the Middle East.

According to Defrin, Israeli aircraft destroyed 16 transport planes used by the Revolutionary Guards to transfer weapons and funding to proxy groups throughout the region.

“These aircraft were part of a supply corridor transferring weapons and money to the regime’s proxies across the Middle East,” he said.

Since the start of the campaign, the IDF has also struck six Iranian military airfields, part of a broader effort to damage the regime’s strategic capabilities and disrupt its regional terror network.

At the same time, Israeli aircraft continue tracking and striking Iranian missile launch squads.

“The Air Force continues to hunt missile launch teams in real time,” Defrin said. “Every strike allows us to reduce the threat and the fire directed at Israel.”

While air operations continue inside Iran, Israel is also maintaining pressure on Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to the IDF, Israeli forces have struck more than 700 Hezbollah targets, including over 100 sites linked to the elite Radwan force, the organization’s primary assault unit.

“We struck more than 50 targets in Beirut, including 35 high-rise buildings that served as terror infrastructure in the heart of civilian areas,” Defrin said.

Overnight, troops from the 7th Brigade under the 36th Division carried out a targeted raid in southern Lebanon, locating terrorist infrastructure and engaging militants in the area. The operation was continuing at the time of the briefing.

Defrin also addressed recent Israeli casualties, noting that the IDF earlier cleared for publication the name of Staff Sgt. Or Damari, 20, from Liman, a combat engineering soldier who was killed in southern Lebanon.

Damari fell in the same incident as Sgt. First Class Maher Khatar while defending communities in northern Israel.

“May their memory be a blessing,” Defrin said. “We continue to embrace and accompany their families.”

Meanwhile, Iranian and Hezbollah attacks on Israel continued throughout the day.

“Unfortunately, two residents were murdered and several civilians were wounded as a result of the fire,” Defrin said.

He stressed that despite Israel’s advanced defense systems, the threat remains.

“We have the best air defense system in the world, but the defense is not hermetic,” he said. “Recent events show how important it is to follow the Home Front Command’s instructions and how they save lives.”

Defrin concluded by stressing that Israel will continue the campaign against Iran and its proxies.

“We are fighting a regime whose entire purpose is our destruction,” he said. “The IDF will continue this necessary campaign for as long as required and until the threat is removed.”
