Israeli search and rescue teams from the “Brotherhood of Friends” delegation are continuing operations at several major disaster sites in Cali, Colombia, working alongside local rescue crews and volunteers to locate and rescue people still missing following the earthquake.

Since beginning their mission, the Israeli teams have reached a significant number of missing people at damaged sites, assisting Colombian authorities and families searching for their loved ones.

At the same time, engineers from the delegation are helping assess buildings damaged by the earthquake.

Working with Colombian and other international teams, they are mapping and classifying damaged structures to determine which can safely return to use and which require further treatment.

The delegation is also providing Colombian authorities with technological tools and expertise to manage information from the disaster sites.

The systems are being used to build a clearer picture of the situation, establish priorities for rescue and recovery efforts, and support decision-making on the ground.

The Israeli delegation’s work is being carried out in close coordination with local authorities and emergency teams as rescue and assessment efforts continue across the affected areas.
