Meet the IDF’s new Chief of Staff!

Learn some facts about the IDF’s new commander-in-chief, the first Orthodox Jew to attain the position.

Maj. Gen. Herzi Halevi was nominated Sunday by Defense Minister Benny Gantz to become the next chief of the Israel Defense Forces.

He is set to take up the post in January 2023 when Lt. Gen. Aviv Kohavi’s tenure ends.
