The critical upgrade initiative guarantees that urgent operational tasks like casualty evacuations, logistics transport, and troop deployments are executed across treacherous paths in a fraction of the time previously required.
The broader operational vehicle modernization strategy is backed by a massive $150 million contract to systematically supply and overhaul hundreds of light mobility combat vehicles across the Ground Forces, where thousands of active and reserve Humvees serve everyday battlefield missions.
The specialized 810th Mountain Brigade, also known as the Heharim Brigade, falls structurally under the 210th “Bashan” Division of the Northern Command.
The primary mission of this regional unit is focused on mountain warfare, long-range reconnaissance, and targeted counterinsurgency, specifically protecting the highly volatile border sectors ranging from the Lebanese Mount Dov area to the Syrian Hermon Summit.
Subordinate elite units such as the expert Alpinist Unit rely heavily on the high-altitude performance of the upgraded Lavi fleet to systematically neutralize hostile subterranean tunnel routes and dismantle hidden rocket infrastructure within hostile border zones.
