Hezbollah has also condemned Israel’s ongoing offensive in Iran but has stated that it will not militarily get involved.

The Israel Defense Forces in recent hours eliminated two Hezbollah terror commanders in Southern Lebanon.
Overnight Wednesday, the IDF killed Mohammad Ahmad Khreiss, commander of the Iranian terror proxy’s anti-tank unit at Hezbollah’s Chebaa outpost in the area of Nabatieh.
“During the war, the terrorist advanced numerous attacks against the State of Israel and led the anti-tank missile attack on Mount Dov, which resulted in the death of Sharif Suad on April 26, 2024,” the military stated.
“In addition, the terrorist continued to advance terror activity in southern Lebanon in a way that violated the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF continued.
Earlier on Wednesday, Hezbollah’s Litani-sector artillery commander was killed in a strike near Barish in Southern Lebanon’s Tyre District.
During the war, Yassin Abd al-Mun’im ‘Izz al-Din directed numerous attacks on northern Israel, according to the Israeli military.
He also worked to rebuild Hezbollah’s artillery capabilities, the IDF said.
“The IDF continues to monitor and thwart Hezbollah’s attempts to advance its readiness to harm the State of Israel under the cover of the war with Iran, and will continue to eliminate any threat,” said the military.
On June 10, the IDF killed two terror operatives in the Southern Lebanon village of Shebaa, in the Nabatieh Governorate and just across the border from the Jewish state’s Golan Heights.
One of the terrorists was a member of Hezbollah, while the other belonged to the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, which the IDF said is operating “at Hezbollah’s directions.”
According to the IDF statement, the terrorists were handling weapons used by Hezbollah, and carrying out surveillance on Israeli troops stationed in Southern Lebanon.
The situation in Lebanon remains volatile following the expiration of the ceasefire on Feb. 18.
The agreement ended following more than a year of war, after Hezbollah began attacking the north the day after the Hamas-led cross-border massacre in southern Israel from Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023.
The terms of the Nov. 27 ceasefire deal between Jerusalem and Beirut required Hezbollah to vacate all areas south of the Litani River, which it has been refusing to do.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has warned that the ceasefire deal would be void if Hezbollah refuses to withdraw.
Under the deal, the IDF is authorized to counter threats from Lebanon, such as observed preparations for a Hezbollah rocket launch, and to address emerging threats—for example, the digging of new tunnels or arms transfers—if Beirut’s government is unwilling or unable to act.
Hezbollah warns against killing Khamenei
While Hezbollah has not joined Iran in attacking Israel since Jerusalem’s military campaign against Tehran’s nuclear and missile threats began on June 13, the terror group issued a statement on Thursday warning against the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
The statement follows threats to kill Khamenei made by Israeli and American leaders, describing these threats as “foolish and reckless” and warning that they “will have disastrous consequences.”
The statement also said that “merely uttering them is an offense to hundreds of millions of believers and those connected to Islam, and it is utterly reprehensible. Today, we are more determined and united around him.”
Hezbollah condemned Israel’s strikes on Iran in a statement on Friday, saying that Israel had “crossed all red lines.” However, the terrorist organization did not issue any threat or indication that it intended to take military action.
U.S. Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack warned the Lebanese terrorist organization against joining the war, speaking after meeting with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, a Hezbollah ally, in Beirut on Thursday.
“I can say on behalf of President Trump, which he has been very clear in expressing, as has Special Envoy [Steve] Witkoff: That would be a very, very, very bad decision,” the American envoy told reporters.
