It marked the second ceasefire violation from Gaza within 24 hours.
On Wednesday, Israeli forces eliminated a key Hamas terrorist after gunmen fired at an area where IDF troops were operating in the northern Gaza Strip, according to a joint statement by the IDF and the Shin Bet.
