IDF Encircles Bint Jbeil, Launches Ground Assault
Forces from the 98th Division, including Paratroopers, Commando, and Givati brigades, completed the encirclement of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon and began an assault on the town. Over 100 Hezbollah operatives were killed in close combat and airstrikes, with dozens of terror sites destroyed and hundreds of weapons uncovered.
IDF Destroys Hezbollah Tunnel in Southern Lebanon
IDF troops from the 7th Brigade, alongside the elite Yahalom unit, destroyed a Hezbollah underground tunnel used to prepare attacks against Israeli forces. The tunnel was neutralized after detailed searches, as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
Commando Forces Eliminate Hezbollah Cells in Bint Jbeil
IDF commando units expanded operations in Bint Jbeil, killing multiple Hezbollah terrorists planning imminent attacks. Maglan fighters eliminated three armed terrorists, while Egoz forces neutralized a separate cell preparing explosive drone strikes. A ready-to-launch rocket system was also destroyed.
Over 250 Hezbollah Terrorists Killed in Major Strike Wave
The IDF confirmed that more than 250 Hezbollah operatives, including senior commanders, were killed in the April 8 strikes across Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon. Those eliminated include key figures in logistics, intelligence, and missile operations, dealing a significant blow to Hezbollah’s command structure.
Air Defenses Intercept Over 10 Drones from Lebanon
Israeli air defenses intercepted more than 10 hostile aerial targets launched from Lebanon toward Israeli territory and IDF forces. The Air Force said it continues to remove threats while supporting ground operations.
Hamas Terrorist Behind Deadly Attack on IDF Troops Killed
In Gaza, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated a Hamas cell planning imminent attacks. Among those killed was Yusuf Bashiti, involved in the anti-tank missile attack that killed 21 IDF soldiers earlier in the war. The IDF described the strike as a significant “closure of the circle.”
IAF Strikes 150 Hezbollah Targets in 24 Hours
The Israeli Air Force struck approximately 150 Hezbollah targets across southern Lebanon, including rocket launchers, drone systems, anti-tank positions, and command centers. Several terror cells attempting attacks were also neutralized.
Home Front Command Updates Civil Defense Guidelines
New restrictions will take effect Monday evening through Tuesday, maintaining limited activity in northern areas and capping large gatherings at 5,000 people across much of the country.
