IDF troops from the Golani Brigade operating in the Rafah area successfully neutralized a cell of armed terrorists during an ongoing operation to dismantle underground terror tunnels.
The incident began when four armed terrorists attempted to attack Israeli forces while they were actively engaged in destroying subterranean tunnels used for terrorist activities.
Following rapid coordination on the ground and with the support of the Israeli Air Force, the troops eliminated three of the terrorists. The IDF confirmed that no soldiers were injured during the engagement.
In an official statement, the IDF said: “Our troops under Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat.”
The incident comes amid repeated ceasefire violations by terrorist organizations in Gaza, underlining the IDF’s readiness to respond swiftly and effectively to any threats while maintaining strict operational protocols to minimize risks to Israeli personnel and civilians.
