The Chief of Staff expressed his appreciation for the soldiers’ great dedication.

Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer Sunday and met with IDF wounded soldiers who were injured in combat in various sectors.

The Chief of Staff toured the various departments and spoke with the wounded and their families.

There he expressed his great appreciation to the medical teams, the 2nd Division staff, and the Casualty Unit staff for their important and significant work.

In videos released today by the IDF spokesman, wounded soldiers, including one with a leg amputated, are seen telling their commander that they want to return to serve.

The Chief of Staff expressed his appreciation for the soldiers’ great dedication.

At the end of the visit, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said: “I am ending today’s visit full of hope.”

“In every room I passed, I found inner strength, willpower and motivation to heal, despite the pain.”

“We will fight the next battle with you – the battle for recovery. You are proof of the living spirit of the IDF soldiers.”

“The people of Israel who will sit around the holiday table tomorrow – will do so thanks to you and I salute you for that.”
