The IDF eliminated five senior commanders linked to Iran’s Quds Force in a precision overnight strike in Beirut, delivering another major blow to Tehran’s network directing terror activity in Lebanon.

According to the Israeli military, the operation targeted senior figures from the Lebanon Corps and the Palestine Corps of the Quds Force, the overseas arm of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The commanders were meeting inside a civilian hotel in Beirut when they were struck in what the IDF described as a carefully planned operation based on precise intelligence.

The strike was carried out by Israeli naval forces acting on detailed intelligence provided by the IDF Intelligence Directorate.

“The Lebanon Corps of the Quds Force serves as a central coordination axis between the Hezbollah terrorist organization and the Iranian regime,” the IDF said in a statement.

Israeli officials said the commanders were actively working to synchronize the activities of multiple terror organizations operating across Lebanon.

Three of those killed were identified as senior Quds Force commanders.

Majid Hosseini oversaw the transfer of funds from Iran to its proxies in Lebanon.

According to the IDF, he was responsible for financing Hezbollah as well as supporting the activities of the Quds Force’s Lebanon and Palestine Corps and other terrorist organizations operating from Lebanese territory.

The military said Hosseini also played a key role in funding weapons production used to strengthen Hezbollah’s military capabilities.

Ali Reza Bi-Azar, who served as the intelligence branch commander of the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps, was described by the IDF as a major intelligence figure responsible for gathering intelligence used by Hezbollah.

Another commander killed in the strike was Ahmad Rasouli, the intelligence chief of the Quds Force’s Palestine Corps.

In that role, Rasouli oversaw intelligence gathering operations supporting Palestinian terror organizations operating both in Lebanon and in the Gaza Strip.

Two additional terrorists were also killed in the strike.

Hossein Ahmadlou was involved in collecting intelligence on Israel for use in future terror attacks, while Abu Mohammed Ali served as Hezbollah’s representative within the Palestine Corps and was responsible for maintaining coordination between the organization and Iranian operatives.

Israeli officials said the commanders were actively directing terrorist operations while hiding inside a civilian hotel.

Their elimination follows the recent killing of Daoud Ali Zadeh, the commander of the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps, who was eliminated by Israel last week.

The IDF said the latest strike represents a significant blow to Iran’s military presence in Lebanon and to Hezbollah’s operational infrastructure.

“The IDF will not allow Iranian terrorist elements to entrench themselves in Lebanon,” the military said.

“Israel will continue to carry out targeted operations against commanders of the Iranian terror regime wherever they operate.”
