During an operational activity conducted Saturday night by IDF soldiers from the Samaria Brigade in the area of the village of Beit Furik, troops identified two terrorists approaching their position while carrying an explosive device.
The soldiers responded immediately, opening fire in order to neutralize the threat.
One terrorist was eliminated, and the second was neutralized before he could carry out the planned attack against IDF forces.
No injuries were reported among Israeli troops.
The IDF stated that its forces will continue to operate decisively to thwart terrorist activity and remove threats against security personnel.
