Israel’s military reported a serious ceasefire violation Monday after several armed terrorists crossed the designated “yellow line” in southern Gaza and advanced toward IDF troops, posing an immediate threat.
The “yellow line” marks a restricted security boundary inside the Gaza Strip, established as part of the ceasefire framework to separate Israeli forces from Hamas positions.
Terrorists who cross this line are considered to be engaging in hostile activity and may be targeted immediately to protect Israeli soldiers.
According to the IDF, forces identified the infiltration and swiftly responded from both the air and ground, striking and eliminating the terrorists to remove the danger.
“IDF soldiers remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat,” the army said in a statement.
The incident once again shows that Hamas and other terror groups continue to endanger Israeli forces and violate agreements, even as Israel upholds the ceasefire while protecting its soldiers on the ground.
