Counterterror operations continued to press forward across northern Samaria on Monday as Israeli forces carried out a significant overnight raid in the village of Artah.

Duvdevan forces, directed by the Shin Bet and operating under the Ephraim Brigade, entered the village and arrested Ahmed Nasrallah, a leading weapons dealer tied to the Tulkarem-area terror network. Security officials say Nasrallah played a key role in moving illegal weapons to terrorist operatives throughout the region, and his capture marks an important step in disrupting the supply lines fueling recent attacks.

Against the backdrop of these intensified efforts, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a field visit to the Tamun-Tubas and Homesh areas, where Operation Five Stones is underway. He was joined by senior commanders including Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Blot, Judea and Samaria Division commander Brig. Gen. Kobi Heller and senior Border Police officials.

During the tour, Zamir was also presented with initial findings from a recent Yamam operation in which two terrorists were killed during the arrest of wanted suspects.

Zamir noted that Central Command has been leading what he described as a sustained and forceful campaign against terrorism in Judea and Samaria, the Jordan Valley and surrounding areas.

He said Operation Five Stones began after security forces identified attempts by terror elements to establish a foothold in the Homesh region and after several wanted operatives fled there. “We are acting continuously to thwart terrorism and its infrastructure,” he said, adding that the IDF will bolster security for communities throughout the region.

As the operation advances, Israeli forces remain focused on eliminating threats before they reach Israeli civilians. Every arrest, every seized weapon and every dismantled terror cell demonstrates the determination of the IDF and the Shin Bet to prevent attacks, protect communities and maintain full operational control on the ground.

Israeli troops and commanders continue to lead the fight with precision, coordination and resolve, ensuring that terror networks in northern Samaria grow weaker by the day.
