Israeli defense firm Camero-Tech has developed the Xaver 1000, a next-generation radar system that allows security forces to see through walls in real time, revolutionizing urban combat and rescue operations.

The Xaver 1000 uses ultra-wideband (UWB) micro-power radar pulses to generate 3D images of live objects behind solid barriers such as concrete, plaster, and rubble.

It can detect whether a person is sitting, standing, or lying down, and even estimate body part positions and height.

The system integrates AI-based tracking algorithms to monitor movement patterns and distinguish between static and dynamic targets.

Launched in mid-2022, the Xaver 1000 is the flagship product in Camero-Tech’s Xaver series, succeeding the Xaver 800.

It has been adopted by elite units in the IDF, including Sayeret Matkal and Yamam, and exported to special forces in the United States, Germany, and India.

The technology was showcased at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi and Enforce Tac 2025 in Nuremberg, drawing interest from NATO and UN peacekeeping forces.

In a 2023 hostage rescue operation in Jenin, the Xaver 1000 enabled IDF units to locate captives behind reinforced walls, reducing mission time by 40% and avoiding civilian casualties.

The system weighs under 20 kilograms and is portable enough for field deployment.

It costs approximately $80,000 per unit, with bulk procurement discounts available to allied forces.

The need for such technology has grown due to the rise in urban warfare, where over 60% of modern combat now occurs in densely built environments.

Traditional surveillance tools fail to penetrate walls, leaving forces blind in critical scenarios.

Camero-Tech, part of the SK Group led by Samy Katsav, continues to refine the system for disaster response, counterterrorism, and intelligence gathering, positioning Israel as a global leader in tactical sensing innovation.
