IDF forces from the ‘Mountains’ Brigade (810), operating under Division 210, demolished key Syrian regime outposts along the Hermon crest—eliminating direct threats to Israeli positions and stepping up proactive operations to secure the Golan Heights.
Mount Hermon has been closed to visitors due to the war with Hezbollah, and the IDF has been occupying the Syrian side of the mountain since the overthrow of the Assad regime.
The bases will include hypothermal rooms for independent medical treatment, kitchens, cooking gas, generators, dry, frozen, and dry foods, as well as special skiing equipment.
IDF paratroopers, along with other combat units, have entered Syria to maintain a strong defensive and deterrent position due to the unpredictable nature of the current conflict.
