IDF troops operating across Judea and Samaria arrested over 20 suspects wanted for smuggling weapons and constructing explosives intended for attacks on Israeli forces and civilians.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held a situational assessment on Monday focused on the security situation in Judea and Samaria.

The Fighting for Life NGO, which organizes protests against terrorism in Samaria, said that the only explanation for the incident was that terrorists were training for another Oct. 7-style attack.

The IDF recently began a multi-week counterterror operation across Judea and Samaria in an effort to quell terror attacks and the production of weapons.

In the first six months of 2024, medical authorities recorded 3,272 terror attacks in Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley.
