Earlier Monday, IDF units operating in the Khan Yunis area responded to repeated ceasefire violations when terrorists crossed the designated yellow line and advanced toward Israeli forces in what the IDF described as clear and immediate threats.

According to the IDF, troops from the Kfir Brigade’s combat team identified a terrorist who crossed the yellow line and moved directly toward soldiers operating in Khan Yunis. The military said the individual’s behavior posed an immediate danger.

In a separate incident nearby, the same forces detected two additional terrorists who had crossed the yellow line and approached IDF soldiers in a threatening manner.

Further north, combat teams from the 188th Armored Brigade observed several terrorists crossing the line and advancing toward IDF positions in northern Gaza. The troops acted to prevent the threat from escalating.

Another incident was reported by the Carmeli Brigade’s combat team, which identified multiple terrorists who breached the yellow line and headed toward IDF forces in the area.

After the identifications, IDF forces opened fire and eliminated two of the terrorists. In an additional engagement, the Air Force, directed by ground troops, struck three terrorists who had advanced toward the forces. The military confirmed successful hits.

The military said all these events constituted direct and immediate threats to soldiers securing their positions in accordance with the ceasefire framework.

“IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed according to the ceasefire outline and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat,” the army stated.

These incidents reflect ongoing ceasefire violations by Hamas and other Gaza terror factions. Despite the agreement, the groups continue to endanger Israeli soldiers while still holding the bodies of two Israeli hostages and one Thai hostage, a violation that remains a central humanitarian demand for Israel.
