The Israel Defense Forces carried out multiple targeted strikes on Tuesday in southern Lebanon, eliminating Hezbollah terrorists involved in hostile activity near Israel’s northern border, the military said.

According to the IDF, one of the strikes took place in the al-Taybeh area and targeted a Hezbollah terrorist who had been actively gathering intelligence on Israeli forces operating in the region. The terrorist was also involved in efforts to rebuild Hezbollah terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

A short time later, Israeli forces carried out an additional strike in the Sabalin area, also targeting a Hezbollah terrorist engaged in activities that posed a threat to Israel’s security.

On Wednesday, the IDF released further details about the al-Taybeh strike, emphasizing that the terrorist’s actions constituted a clear violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

“The IDF will continue to act to remove any threat and to defend the State of Israel,” the military said.

The strikes reflect Israel’s continued efforts to disrupt Hezbollah’s attempts to reestablish its military presence in southern Lebanon and to prevent attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
