The Israel Defense Forces carried out a series of airstrikes on Hezbollah terror infrastructure across southern Lebanon on Monday, targeting launch sites, training camps, and weapons storage areas, the military said.

The strikes hit Hezbollah military camps used to train terrorists for the planning and execution of attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.

The military said terrorists at the sites were conducting firearms drills and additional training involving various weapons systems.

The IDF also struck weapons storage shafts at several Hezbollah locations, saying recent intelligence identified unusual military activity at the sites. Additional launch positions and military structures linked to planned attacks were also targeted.

Israeli officials said Hezbollah’s activity in the area violates the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and poses a direct threat to communities in northern Israel and to troops operating along the border.

The military said it will continue to act against Hezbollah infrastructure and operatives in order to prevent attacks and defend Israeli civilians.
