IDF Nahal Brigade combat teams continued operating in eastern Rafah on Tuesday. During searches earlier in the day, forces identified five armed terrorists who were subsequently eliminated.

Initial assessments indicate the terrorists had emerged from underground tunnel infrastructure in the area.

Earlier, 188th Brigade combat teams identified a terrorist who crossed the yellow line and approached IDF forces in northern Gaza, posing an immediate threat. The forces opened fire and killed the terrorist to remove the danger.

On Saturday, Nahal Brigade teams in eastern Rafah completed a 24-hour manhunt that resulted in the killing and capture of 17 terrorists attempting to flee the underground network. Eleven were killed and six were taken into custody for Shin Bet questioning.

Southern Command forces remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire framework and will continue to act to eliminate any immediate threats.
