The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued wide-ranging operations across the Gaza Strip over the past day, targeting terrorist infrastructure and eliminating threats to troops.
In Gaza City, Hamas’ last stronghold, Israeli aircraft struck and killed a terrorist who had fired mortar shells at soldiers.
The projectile was dismantled shortly afterward. Ground forces operating in the area eliminated several terrorists, dismantled surveillance posts, and neutralized multiple explosive devices planted to target troops.
Terrorists attempting to lay additional explosives were also killed.

The device, intended to ambush advancing forces, was neutralized without casualties. Additional weapons and explosives were uncovered in the structure.
In Khan Yunis, IDF troops engaged and eliminated terrorists operating near Israeli forces. Meanwhile, the Israeli Navy destroyed a Hamas weapons storage facility used to support terror activity.
Approximately 1,200 people were killed and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the 48 remaining hostages, about 20 are believed to be alive.
